Boundary, Alfreton by Marston's Inns

The room and bathroom were both spacious, the Wi-Fi was excellent and the shower was hot with good pressure. The bed was comfortable enough, and I’d stay again if I’m in the area. Parking was okay-sized. The hotel is in the side building next to the pub, with check-in at the bar. They quickly went through all the information, then I headed up a flight of stairs to my room.

We had a clean, large room on the ground floor, which was much appreciated as I needed somewhere to secure my bike and didn’t want to carry it upstairs. The bed was very comfortable, and we enjoyed our one-night stay. The pub was clean and very large, with space for all sorts of occasions. We arrived late, but the staff were still happy to check us in and let us order food with only five minutes to go. Everyone was very friendly and polite. I’d recommend staying here and would come back.

We only had dessert when we visited with friends on Monday, but it was great value and came out really quickly. The bar staff were friendly and helpful. My son loved the play areas, both indoors and outside. We’ll definitely be back.

The rooms are great value, and the meal and bar were excellent. Staff were friendly and efficient. It’s a little way from other amenities, but they have what you need, so the location matters less. I’d certainly stay again if I’m nearby.
