For a few nights’ stop during our walking road trip, this apartment was really handy. It’s close to the train station and bus stops, carefully maintained, and having a fridge and washing machine was much appreciated. We couldn’t leave our bags before check-in because there’s no reception, but getting the keys was simple and went without a hitch.

We booked this apartment through Booking.com for a trip to Scotland last year. There seemed to be an issue with its payment gateway. I tried to make a bank transfer and sent the apartment manager proof of payment, but we were still left stranded. We offered to pay in person, and they wouldn’t accept that either. There was nowhere else we could find that night for less than €600, so we ended up sleeping in the car.
