Tullochard Guest house

Mrs Campbell was genuinely pleasant and helpful, and the room was spotless with a really comfortable bed. We stayed at Tullochard on both the outward and return legs of our Orkney trip, and it was an ideal place to break the journey to and from the ferry. The en-suite was spotless too, and breakfast was adequate for what we needed. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend it highly.

We usually steer clear of places with few reviews, but our two days here turned out to be an amazing experience. The location worked perfectly for Inverness and Dornoch, without the higher prices. The host made us feel completely at home, with fresh toast, coffee and tea every morning, plus helpful travel advice and restaurant suggestions. The whole house has been renovated and feels brand new. Our room was clean, the bathroom impeccable and the sheets smelled freshly washed. Wish we'd stayed longer.

The evenings were so peaceful, which made it easy to relax. We had a lovely stay, and the hosts were friendly.

Caroline was such a lovely, helpful host, and the house itself is beautiful with plenty of local facilities nearby. My room faced the road, so opening the window sometimes let in noise. That's a very slight downside for me, though, since I live somewhere extremely quiet with no traffic noise. I travel with earplugs anyway, just in case 🤣
