The bathroom was the worst I've seen in any accommodation worldwide, with large holes in the bath panel and mould all over the combined bath and shower. We couldn't use it because there was no hot water. We told the manager within hours of arriving, and were told a plumber wouldn't be available for at least a week. They said we'd be reimbursed for one night of our two night stay, so we had to find somewhere else to sleep that night, which was highly stressful. We're still waiting for the refund. The manager took our details and lied to our faces. The whole place was filthy and unsanitary, even the carpets were so dirty I couldn't go barefoot. Other reviews on various websites seem false and misleading, and I question whether real guests wrote them. Don't be misled by older reviews. This place should be condemned as unfit for human habitation, and they should be ashamed. The worst accommodation I've ever seen. Avoid booking here.

We dropped in for lunch after learning our usual favourite eatery had closed permanently. The pub is now called The Hairy Lemon. A friendly lady greeted us and looked after us throughout. I was glad to see plenty of gluten free options at great value, and my partner said the veggie lasagne was his best meal of our holiday. We'll definitely come back.

We held part of our wedding reception there, and the staff helped make the day memorable. They were amazing and so accommodating, even leaving a bottle of champagne in our room. The rooms were great, and some of our guests stayed there too. I'd definitely recommend it.

The room let down an otherwise lovely location and staff. My bed was really uncomfortable, the TV didn't work, and the lock was wobbly and temperamental, so I didn't feel safe. I didn't get to try the bar service, though it seemed like it might be good, and the customers looked cheerful and happy with their experience.

A no frills locals pub with good beer. There wasn't any food the day we went, but the barman pointed us to a good place to eat.
