The waitresses were very friendly and helpful, and manager S was very apologetic and offered another plate, plus drinks or desserts on the house. My partner and I both had to send our dinners back because they tasted dodgy, though, so I don't think we'll be back in a hurry.

We stayed in a campervan and found this a lovely spot with everything you need while travelling. We'd definitely stay again.

We'd driven past this pub plenty of times without stopping, so we tried it for Sunday lunch on a whim. The welcome was really friendly, and even though it was a quiet service, the food was beautifully presented and a high standard. They also easily catered for my wheat intolerance. It's got a traditional feel, and I'm glad we finally called in. I'd recommend giving it a try.

We booked two nights for our motorhome at the site behind the pub, but left after one. The pitches were very poor and the facilities were worse. They do pour a good pint of Guinness, to be fair, but there was little else to recommend. On that same trip we found much better sites for the same money or less.
