The staff were warm, welcoming, and very helpful, which made a real difference. My room was clean, cosy, and comfortable, with what I needed to unwind after exploring Glasgow's West End. Nothing fancy, just right for a relaxed stay. It's a great base for the West End. Glasgow Botanic Gardens and Kelvingrove Park are a short stroll away, and both are worth a visit, especially the park if you're a dog person!! The nearby subway, “the clockwork orange”, makes getting around quick and easy. Try to grab a seat or be ready to hold on as it rockets between stops. Don't expect to think too hard either, you'll experience the Scottish “shoogle”, with your brain rattling along in time with the subway 🤣 Still, it's a great way to get around, and I'd happily stay here again.

Breakfast was great value. It was a simple English breakfast spread, but we could fill up. The staff were friendly at night when we checked in and when we needed room service. The first room we were given was below ground and didn't look very appealing, so we were moved to a much nicer room on a higher floor. Both rooms were very clean, though the heater wasn't great and it got quite cold. Our toilet was spacious, but the shower area felt a little cramped, and neither room had a bathtub. The hotel feels old and has no lift, so you'll need to carry your luggage up and down the stairs.

I was visiting the area for the first time and wanted to feel safe as a woman travelling alone. This hotel was just right, and I'd stay or visit again. It was also very convenient for my gig at Oran Mor, less than a 5 minute walk away.

The breakfast is the best part, really good value and well worth having. The rooms are good, service is amazing, and the staff are so polite and helpful, especially Shiza and Olly. A lovely wee gem. I'll definitely stay again when I'm back in Glasgow.

We came for a gig and were greeted warmly when we arrived. The hotel was heated well, and the price, room, service, and breakfast were all first class. Weekday breakfast runs from 7-9 am, with a top drawer cooked breakfast, plenty of cereal, yogurts, toast, tea, and coffee. The price was fantastic too. We'll return. 👏👏👏👏
