Town View Alston

Arriving at Townview after a long day walking in the rain felt decadent. The space is beautiful, really well equipped, and has a lovely view over the town square. The coop is within stumbling distance, too. We broke our Pennine Way walk in Alston and stayed for 2 nights, and we’re so glad we chose Townview Alston. Even in early June, we lit the wood burner and felt super cosy. Amanda, the owner, is really friendly and clearly cares about her guests’ experience. Would stay again in a heartbeat :)

Town View is right in the middle of Alston, looking out over the market place. My wife and I stayed in this beautiful apartment in September 2024. It’s a good size, well equipped and very clean. I hope we’ll return one day.

Amanda and Ted were lovely hosts, and the complimentary breakfast was a nice added bonus. We stayed from the 27th to the 29th of September. The apartment was warm and homely, beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We can’t rate it highly enough, and plan to come back in May/June next year.

Being right in the centre of Alston was great, and we could come and go as we pleased without being tied to meal times. From our first phone call with Amanda through to leaving, we couldn’t fault anything about our weekend stay. When we visit this area again, we’ll make sure to stay here!
