Belle Green Bed And Breakfast

Breakfast was excellent, freshly cooked to order, with homemade jam for toast and fried bread as a real treat. The hosts were friendly and very helpful with local knowledge. Our clean, comfortable room had fresh milk and homemade shortbread waiting, and the beds were comfy too. It’s an old B&B, with some low ceilings and uneven floors, but that adds to its beauty. Beatrix Potters Hilltop farm is only a five minute walk away, and there are lots of local walks through the stunning Cumbria countryside. This lovely little B&B is tucked away in the heart of the Lake District. I’d definitely stay again.

The Crabtree family, who own and run Belle Green, were lovely and helpful, and it’s in a great location. Our rooms were clean, charming and comfortable. This was our first time in the Lake District, and we loved staying here. We hope to come back someday.

Steve and Anne were perfect hosts and couldn’t have been more accommodating. We had a lovely week at Belle Green. The rooms were clean, well presented and well appointed. We highly recommend staying here and can’t wait to return. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Ann and Steve were so welcoming during our wonderful two night stay at this clean, homely B&B. They shared good local tips, and the village was peaceful, with a nice pub within walking distance. Ann is an excellent cook and knows her way around dietary requirements. Nothing was too much trouble for my gluten free diet, and there was an extensive gluten free breakfast selection. I could have a full English, and even Alex polizzi would be proud of the poached eggs. The shower was powerful, the complimentary toiletries smelled lovely, and I looked up the local company so I could buy the shower gel. The bed was very comfortable.
