The cabin was cosy for a festive-season stay, with Christmas decorations that made it feel especially welcoming. It was clean on arrival, even smelled clean, and the kitchen was stocked really well. The owners were friendly and helpful, and we got a lot of use from the info pack. We'd happily recommend staying here.

A bottle of champagne and a welcome card were waiting for us when we arrived, such a lovely touch. The cabin was spotless and had everything we needed, and the owners were welcoming and easy to reach when we needed them. We had a blast exploring the nearby towns and different areas. It was a much-needed break, and we couldn't fault the stay. We'll definitely be back in summer. 🙂

The big enclosed garden was a highlight, with deer, bats, owls, red squirrels and all sorts of other woodland visitors. There's also a huge front deck with a BBQ, and pets are welcome for a small charge. Set between Ambleside, Hawkshead and Coniston, this feels like an ideal little hideaway. The log cabin has two bedrooms with three beds, plus a shared kitchen and living area, so it suits couples or small families looking for a comfortable base.

We've already booked again for next year before even leaving. The cabin is nicely furnished and peaceful, but shops, restaurants and attractions are still easy to reach. It's perfect for us, and being pet friendly is a bonus.
