Ivy Guest House

Kate was a lovely host and made us feel very welcome during our one-night stay for a fishing trip. The rooms were spacious and spotless, and we enjoyed both the breakfast and the packed lunch. I’d highly recommend staying here.

We brought our dog for a wonderful three-night stay, and the owners were so friendly and helpful that nothing felt like too much trouble. The place is right in the centre, with very clean, beautifully decorated rooms, comfortable beds, and a good hot shower. Nights were peaceful and breakfast was fantastic. I can’t fault it and will definitely return.

We had such a great stay, and even our dog was made to feel welcome. The village is idyllic, with everything an easy walk from the hotel, and the hosts and service made us feel at home. Breakfast worked perfectly for us, with a small option for me and a large one for my partner. Our room had a spectacular sunrise view, which I watched from the window over coffee. Beautiful room and an ideal location, highly recommend.

We’ve already booked another stay, thanks to how helpful and accommodating Paul and Kate were. Ivy House is well placed for exploring Hawkshead and the lovely surroundings, and we had a wonderful New Year visit. You won’t be disappointed.
