Paul and Diane made my first trip to the Lake District feel special. They were welcoming hosts, and Paul even rode along with me in the car to point out where to park, which was above and beyond. I met his wife Diane too, and she was very pleasant. Breakfast was outstanding each morning, and by luck I had the shared bathroom to myself. The room had great views from the window. It’s a comfortable guest house in a handy spot for seeing the Lakes, and I’d love to return to Park House.

Ambleside is a great gateway to the Lake District, and the Park Guest House is perfectly placed, with amenities in walking distance. My room was very clean, cosy, and had everything I needed and more, plus a lovely view. The hosts are lovely, welcoming and helpful, and clearly care about what they do. They also make a really great breakfast.

I’ve stayed twice in the first few months of 2018, and the cleanliness and comfort were just as good on both visits. The hosts are friendly and accommodating, and breakfast has lots of choice and will definitely fill you up. Parking is scarce around here, but they gave me my own spot close to the guest house. Prices were an absolute bargain, and it’s ideally located for getting to all the Lakes have to offer.

I’d read the breakfast reviews and was looking forward to it. The first morning I had a full English, small but nice. The next day I asked for bacon and eggs and got one slice of bacon and one egg. Given what the rooms cost, that was ridiculous. I got a decent sized breakfast on the way home.

Breakfast was delicious and parking was great. The place is very comfortable and ideally located for visiting the Lakes. We had a very enjoyable stay, definitely one of the best guest houses we’ve stayed in. Thank you, Paul and Diane.
