The bedrooms are beautifully furnished, with lovely attention to detail, and the food was scrumptious, freshly made and nicely presented. The staff were an absolute delight and made the place feel warm and welcoming. My only downside was the amount of grey paint in the hallways, which felt oppressive. Thanks for a lovely stay.

Breakfast was the standout, especially the full cooked breakfast, though dinner was excellent too. This recently renovated pub is right in the middle of Hawkshead, and they give you a parking permit for your stay. The staff were welcoming, and the beautifully furnished rooms were spotless, comfortable and equipped with what you might need. A wonderful overnight stay, 10/10.

We’ve had dinner at the King's Arms twice. There’s a lively, buzzy atmosphere and a varied menu, with friendly, efficient service. We especially enjoyed the scotch egg, risotto, fisherman's pie and beef cheek. It isn’t cheap, but it’s definitely a great meal, and the European based wine list is good.

I only stopped in for a drink, and the good choice of real ales was a welcome find. I enjoyed my pint. Other pubs in the village didn’t seem to have much real ale, and I can get Estrella or Peroni anywhere. Thanks for stocking a good range. I’ll be back.

We planned on just one quick drink on the first day of our break, then ended up coming back twice a day for the rest of the stay. The welcome was warm, and the staff chatted with us like old friends after only a few minutes. The food was amazing, portions generous, and booking was easy. After countryside walks, it was lovely to have a warm fire, dog friendly surroundings and some nice beers on tap. Highly recommended.
