Nanny Brow

The views and scenery were stunning, and the pictures of them were what drew us to Nanny Brow. Its awards and many positive reviews were an added draw, and the stay lived up to that reputation. Still, what made the holiday for my family and me was Sue, Elliot and the whole team. The rooms were beautifully made and clean, and we appreciated the personal touches, including freshly made cake each day. There was face-to-face interaction with guests and an excellent breakfast too. I don’t usually leave reviews, but felt I had to after such an exceptional stay. We can’t thank the team enough, and I can’t recommend Nanny Brow enough.

Even in pouring rain, the setting was amazing. The building is beautiful, the interiors feel homely and luxurious, and the whole place was spotless. We loved staying in the Langdale Suite, especially the huge windows and the view, along with the gorgeous bath. Sue and the staff looked after us extremely well, and breakfast was delicious. We had a really relaxing two-night stay at Nanny Brow and would love to visit again.

The hotel has spectacular views, and the team took such good care of us. Breakfast and cakes were totally yummy. Special thanks to Susan and Elliot for the extra thought and care that made our stay feel perfect. Elliot gave us local walking advice and mapped out two fabulous walks, which we completed. We can’t wait to visit again.

A fire was always lit in the lounge, a lovely welcome after coming in from the cold. Our room was spotless, comfortable and beautifully decorated, with a good choice of tea and coffee and a homemade treat waiting for us after a long day outside. Breakfast was fantastic, with varied choices and quality local food, and nothing was too much trouble. We had an amazing long weekend in the Lake District, made even better by staying at Nanny Brow. Beautiful views and great walks are right outside the door. I’d highly recommend it as a base for exploring the area.
