The Log House

Our room was 35, right at the top, and we loved our stay. It was compact, but the bed was huge and extremely comfortable. We had everything we needed, including a fan and mini fridge, and the shower had lovely strong pressure. There’s a well-priced car park across the road if parking at the log house isn’t available. We were out in the car most of the day, so we could park on the main road overnight for free. The hotel can also give you a token for an hour of free parking. We’d love to come back!

Check-in and checkout were easy to do ourselves. The room was spacious and comfortable, bigger than a standard hotel room in my view, and had a sofa, fridge, bath and shower. The walls are thin, though, so you can easily hear people in other rooms.

A clean, cosy hotel close to the town centre and the lake. The key box system made check-in easy, and I had absolutely nothing to complain about.

We stayed in Room 33 on the second floor at The Log House. It was peaceful, very clean and nicely decorated, with a lovely view of the hills and fields. Staff were quick to respond whenever we had questions, and checkout was easy. The price was very affordable, so I hadn’t expected it to be as nice as it was, and it was great value for money. The location was great too, about a ten-minute walk to Ambleside town and another ten minutes to Waterhead Pier. There were amazing views of Lake Windermere, some good pubs and access to good walks. We really enjoyed our stay.
