Breakfast was incredible. I had the sandwich with two sausages and two eggs, with lovely bread, tasty sausages, and fried eggs exactly how I like them. The cappuccino was made with milk from a lovely dairy, too. My room at Chequers B&B had everything I needed, including a very comfortable bed and an ensuite shower with great water pressure. The small team were smiley, proactive, helpful, and so personable. I was really impressed with the whole stay and will definitely return next time I’m in the area.

We both had a Full English and thought it was brilliant value for money. The woman serving us was very friendly and on the ball. I’d definitely go back.

A burger costs 7.99, but asking for a little chips and “salad” adds another £6, which is ridiculous. The salad was just three very thin slices of tomato and a little lettuce. I wouldn’t go here for food, and I suspect the rooms are the same quality. What a waste of money.

The full English with toast and a hot drink was really good value, and breakfast was very good. My room was comfortable and clean, with nice utilities, and the service was excellent. The woman who served me was especially friendly. I’d recommend this hotel.

I slept comfortably without any noise bothering me. The room was clean and well maintained, and the location was quiet at night, especially outside the holiday season. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, which made for a relaxing stay.
