I hope I get to return one day. I ate at The White Horse on both Friday and Sunday last weekend, and the food and service were top notch each time. When the young woman at the bar noticed I was on my own, she thoughtfully offered me a table in the snug, which was perfect for dining solo. It’s a warm, friendly, cosy pub, unpretentious and lovely to relax in. It was worth travelling for, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

All 11 of us left with empty plates after Sunday lunch, which says a lot. They also handled the coeliac and vegan dietary requirements brilliantly. The staff were lovely, the food was brilliant, and the service was great. I’d definitely come back :)

We only spent one evening there, so there were probably plenty of good things we didn’t get to discover. We’ll definitely be back. It’s a very cosy pub, especially for a winter visit, with friendly staff, locals, and regulars. There’s a decent range of beers, a couple of lagers including a premium one, and an excellent wine list.

This pub really is a gem. The food was amazing as usual. I had homemade steak pie with homemade chips and a medley of six different vegetables. Highly recommend this lovely place. Thanks to all the staff, and see you soon!

It’s such a relaxing, nice place to be, and I loved the layout. The staff were friendly, and the food was fabulous. The fat chips were especially good, perfectly cooked, which isn’t always the case. Our waitress was efficient and really on the ball.
