Mavis and Terry pointed us toward good ways to explore the Mourne Mountains, and Larchfield is only two miles away if you're going to a wedding there. We stayed one night in the comfortable en-suite Primrose room and had a marvellous continental breakfast. The fresh orange juice was lovely, and Mavis's homemade brown bread was the best I've tasted. Mavis and Terry made us feel welcome, and Dorothy the dog was friendly too. We enjoyed the stay immensely.

You can watch the cows in the fields from the windows, and the farm has a beautiful house and gardens. It's close to nice places to visit, eat, and drink. Breakfast had plenty of choice. Mavis and Terry were wonderful, welcoming hosts who did everything they could for us. Terry even drove us into town instead of making us wait for a taxi. Would recommend.

The breakfast was delicious, especially the homemade bread and fresh honey from their own beehives. We had a joy of a stay at Fort William, with lovely gardens, beautiful rooms and views in a gorgeous country house. The hosts were charming and delightful. Everything was first class, and then some.

A lovely couple greeted us with a fresh cup of tea and a slice of chocolate cake. The old house is beautiful and feels really homely. A great spot to get away from the rat race and relax.
