I had a really smooth night here for £80. The room was big and cozy, very clean and quiet, with freshly redecorated bathrooms. Before I arrived, the host had boiled the kettle, so I could make tea as soon as I got in. Breakfast was solid, made to order, and they gave me a lift to the airport for a tenner. Superb stay.

The location near the airport made getting around easy and stress-free. What really made the stay special, though, was how warmly Charles and Siobhan looked after me. It felt like a home away from home from the moment I arrived, and Lorraine was lovely with the food and hospitality. My room was spotless, comfortable, well equipped and beautifully kept. Everything had been arranged thoughtfully to help guests feel welcome and relaxed. I’d definitely recommend Keef Halla Country House for its comfort and warm hospitality. I’m looking forward to staying again.

At Keef Halla Country House, the personal welcome is a big part of the experience. Hosts are often described as friendly and attentive, with many guests appreciating the way they help with individual needs. Breakfast is another plus, usually hearty, well prepared and varied enough to start a day of travel or exploring. The airport is only a few minutes away, which is handy for early flights and late arrivals, and the countryside setting stays peaceful. Rooms are generally clean, spacious and well maintained, with comfortable beds, good heating and thoughtful touches. The traditional decor adds to the country-house feel, though some people may find it dated. Facilities are simpler than in a modern chain hotel, and services can be limited. Getting around may take a bit of planning if you’re relying on something other than taxis. Still, it’s highly rated for cleanliness, service and its convenient airport location, especially if you prefer a welcoming, personal atmosphere to contemporary luxury.

The hosts made us feel incredibly welcome, thank you! My boyfriend and I stayed at Keef Halla while visiting Belfast and the north coast. It’s brilliantly placed for the airport and Giant’s Causeway, and Belfast is about 25 minutes away. Our room was lovely and clean, the shower had great pressure, and breakfast was delicious with plenty of choice. 😁

The hotel was almost empty, and I was its only guest, but the owner and his wife both shouted at me aggressively. I felt threatened and humiliated. I had to stay because I had a flight the next day, and I was genuinely scared. At night I put a chair against my room door because I worried they might come in. I’m Black and my friend is Gypsy. The way we were watched, singled out and accused made me strongly feel the treatment was racially motivated and discriminatory. They cook for guests but refused to cook for me. My friend was only visiting during the day. I never said she would stay overnight, and if she had been, I would have said so. She went outside a few times to smoke, and each time the owners watched her and made inappropriate comments, verbally attacking her in a controlling, disturbing way. When her husband briefly came by with their small child so she could say hello, the owners accused us of “suspicious behavior.” They shouted that no one was allowed in my room, accused us of “doing hair,” and said I couldn’t use their water, even though I’d paid for the room. They kept yelling that I “cannot use their water.” Then things got worse. They took my room keys, leaving me unable to get in. They threw my friend out of the hotel, accusing her of suspicious behavior when she hadn’t done anything wrong. Once, when she went outside to smoke, they locked the door so she couldn’t get back in. I have never felt so unsafe, intimidated or disrespected in accommodation. This place felt unsafe and unprofessional, and showed no respect for guests’ basic rights. I absolutely do NOT recommend staying here under any circumstances.
