We don't stay over, so I can't speak to the rooms, but whenever we're within a couple of hours, we pop in, even though home is 200 miles away. It's a proper pub with lovely people, including the staff, a great atmosphere, good beer and fantastic food. The fire makes for a warm welcome, and the outdoor space is beautiful in good weather. Get the onion rings, they're the best.

The food was very average, and we were disappointed with the stay. The double bed felt more like a large single, the shower was tiny, and the place is beside the car park among the weeds. We found it very uncomfortable and left after one night instead of staying for the second. Not the best pub, and I'm not sure how it got that title.

We really enjoyed dinner, and the staff were great. The hut had everything we needed. The Craven Arms is fantastic, and this beautiful part of the country feels like it hasn't changed much. Highly recommend.

A perfect little getaway. The area is beautiful, with stunning scenery, and the shepherd hut was warm and immaculately clean. It came stocked with goodies, and there was milk on the doorstep. We also enjoyed the friendly pub and lovely meals. Would love to stay again, thanks for having us x

Sitting in the hut on a beautiful evening and taking in the views was such a pleasure. Bellwether is furnished really nicely, with lots of quirky, interesting details. The bed is extremely comfortable and the shower is excellent, and there's a log burner that must be cosy on a chilly night. Tea, coffee, fresh orange juice and plenty of breakfast bars were provided. We had a wonderful stay and highly recommend it.
