Ardlui Retreat

The lodge was clean and luxurious, and I loved the hot tub. But views differ between lodges despite them costing the same, and ours had no lake view. That should be made clear when booking. I also had £25 taken from my deposit as a checkout charge even though we left the lodge before 10 a.m. and were out of the gate by 10:20. We were only sorting things in the car while my husband was on a call. I thought the charge was unreasonable. I'm unhappy with the experience and wouldn't book again.

After a long hike, the private hot tub was a lovely way to unwind. The lodges are spacious, beautifully designed and finished to a high standard, and felt like a home away from home. Everything was thoughtfully prepared for comfort, relaxation and adventure, making this a fantastic family holiday spot. We'd gladly return and highly recommend Ardlui Retreat for a welcoming, luxurious Scottish getaway. The hospitality was wonderful from the start. Manager Garry was welcoming and thoughtful, checking in when a road closure at Tarbet delayed us. He also had the BBQ hut ready for our second night, which made for a cosy evening. David went out of his way to bring our packed lunch to Captain Barry during our private Loch Lomond cruise on his stunning Azimut 430. That personal attention made the stay even more special.

We had a lovely weekend at the Ardlui Retreat house for a family birthday treat. It's a beautiful house with everything we could need. Thanks to gary and jordan, who were on hand to answer all our questions.

We'd love to bring the family back for another relaxing break. The peaceful setting, comfortable lodge and warm hospitality made this trip memorable, and the view over Loch Lomond was absolutely picturesque. From the moment we arrived, Garry, with two R's 😅😋 as he made sure to point out, made us feel welcome. He was helpful, polite and genuinely made our visit feel special. The lodge itself was beautiful. A truly wonderful stay at the Ardlui Retreat Lodges in Scotland. Highly recommended!
