Safestay Glasgow Hotel

The rooms were clean and the price was great, but the bathroom really stood out for its size. It's the first hostel bathroom I've stayed in that had enough room to shower and change comfortably. They even had a towel warmer. Great service and rooms.

The lounge was great, the staff were friendly, and breakfast was alright. The location is also ideal, especially for getting the train. But I didn't enjoy the room. It smelled and felt dirty, and having to pay for towels bothered me. I expected fresh sheets and a made bed each day, like in a hotel, but that didn't happen. The cleaner was meant to change my bedding on arrival day and never did, so the receptionist ended up doing it. I felt bad that she had to. I've worked as a hotel cleaner myself, and I wasn't impressed. It was my first hostel stay, and I won't be back, or even to Glasgow.

I felt at home here, especially because they paid attention to my special needs during the stay. I also enjoyed chatting with Sejal and Vivek when I wanted suggestions for my trip, food, or shops. The hostel is especially good for solo travelers. I had fun socializing and made new friends, and it was probably one of my best stays in Glasgow. The whole team made the experience memorable. Rosanna and Sarah were the peacemakers, Euan was precise, Tiago calm and composed, Anik a go-getter, Adam and Tanmay sensible, and Sejal and Vivek great guides and entertainers. I want to give a special mention to Annik, Sarah, Adam, Rosanna, and Tanmay for handling things when they got difficult. Everyone did a great job, but those five really stood out to me. The managers Rosanna and Tiago, the front desk team, Euan, Adam, Annik, Tanmay, Sejal, Vivek, Sarah, and all the housekeeping staff exceeded my expectations. Safestay staff could even be cast in a new version of Friends, called Friends-2, with me as a guest appearance ;) Thanks for making my stay comfortable and enjoyable. I appreciate all the effort, and I'll cherish the moments I shared with everyone here.

The location made it easy to get around, with public transport, shops, and local attractions close by. I also really liked the common area, which had a good atmosphere for relaxing, chatting, or planning the next day. Staff were welcoming from the moment I arrived, and the social feel made it easy to meet people and settle in. The room was clean and organized, and quieter than I expected, so I slept well. The bed was comfortable, the lockers felt secure, and the shared bathrooms and kitchen were kept clean and in good shape. For the price, it offers a lot: comfort, cleanliness, and a friendly, social setting. I'd happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting.
