Glynhill Hotel & Spa

It was my first time at the Glynhill hotel Renfrew, for a tribute night from Friday to Sunday, and the whole stay was fantastic. The hotel was spotless, the food was amazing, and the staff were friendly and so helpful. Even with about 200 people there, the tribute night meal was served professionally, hot, and delicious. Breakfast was fresh and hot too. I'll definitely be back.

The afternoon tea and its service were great. Our waiter was friendly, and the food was very nice. The pool was cold but okay, and the sauna and steam room were great. Leisure area staff were nice too. The spa treatment was the letdown. The deal's main draw for us was the massage, but it had so little pressure it felt more like a back rub. It's the worst massage I've had. I wouldn't be surprised if their masseuse called in sick and someone from food and beverage covered the bookings. We were so disappointed that we booked another massage elsewhere a few days later. I wouldn't do another deal there because of the spa treatments, though I'd go back for afternoon tea. Avoid the "SPA".

For the eighth year in a row, minus one year because of Covid, my family of 12 has celebrated Hogmanay at The Glynhill. The staff recognized us from past years, which was a lovely touch, and once again the whole team gave us wonderful service. The Hogmanay Ball is a great night. The hall was tastefully decorated, the band was outstanding, and the waiting staff did a brilliant job. The food was remarkable considering how many people they were serving, and bar prices were reasonable too. Our rooms were very comfortable, the bathrooms spotless, and breakfast the next morning had a huge selection. Well done to everyone at The Glynhill. See you again for Hogmanay 2027!

We had a spa day and afternoon tea, and will be back. Both therapists were amazing and attentive, and we left feeling relaxed and refreshed. Nothing was too much trouble. Afternoon tea was lovely too, and they catered for us as vegetarians. Highly recommend.
