Glazert Country House Hotel

The grounds were lovely to walk around, and the staff and management were friendly, kind and helpful. Breakfast had plenty of choice and all the food was delicious. My husband, father and I stayed at the Glazert Country House Hotel over the bank holiday weekend. Our rooms were spacious and lovely, the beds were very comfortable, and we had everything we needed. We’d highly recommend this gem and will definitely be back.

The chicken tempura was the best we’ve ever had, and everyone working there was so friendly and helpful. We stayed four weeks ago with our two dogs and got a lovely room that opened straight onto the car park, which made it easy to take them out without walking through the hotel. The service was excellent. We’d definitely recommend it.

The gardens are lovely, especially for sitting in during summer. It’s a peaceful, almost remote-feeling spot even though it’s right in the middle of our busy wee town, and the food is always great. I’d happily recommend the burger. I haven’t stayed in the rooms myself, but my brother-in-law is there now and has been raving about them. He says he’s being really well looked after, despite having stayed all over the world.

We’ll be hosting more parties at The Glazert. For my mother-in-law’s 90th birthday, the family put a few people up overnight and held the party there, and the staff made the whole night unforgettable for Margarets. Paul helped us choose from an amazing range of buffet food, which was second to none compared with any buffet we’ve had. The family running The Glazert are completely dedicated to their guests. Nothing was too much trouble, and the staff were polite and always ready to help. We’re so grateful, and highly recommend it.
