A small room, but it was clean and welcoming enough that the tight space didn’t bother me. For an overnight stay, it was great value. The staff were very polite, and breakfast was organised impressively well. There was a solid selection, including black pudding and haggis, so the essentials were covered. I’d stay again.

Tom at reception was so friendly and helpful, a real asset to The Grosvenor. My mum and I had a lovely three-night stay in family room 314. It was clean and roomy enough, and the fan we’d requested was already there when we arrived. The bathroom was a good size too. We enjoyed the restaurant buffet breakfast, with a tasty selection. We had dinner at Bo’Vine on our last night; it was nice, though there are lots of good places to eat nearby. We also had a delicious Indian meal at Bantawala by Masala, where the staff were really friendly. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and we looked out over the Botanic Gardens. Breakfast was lovely with a good range to choose from. The location works well for the west end, and the reception was tastefully decorated for Christmas. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I’ll definitely book again.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the hotel’s location is ideal. The rooms are nice and the beds comfortable. There’s no mini fridge, but you do get tea and coffee facilities, a couple of biscuits, an iron and ironing board, a TV and a safe. The bar is very expensive. If you don’t choose a Botanic Garden view, you’ll be looking at the air conditioning on the roof, so keep the curtains shut. I also found the thickest layer of dust I’ve ever seen on top of the wardrobe. Parking on the top floor of the multistorey above Waitrose is reasonably priced. Just give reception your car registration.

My wife and I stayed Friday to Monday. The room was adequate overall, though the curtains were dirty. We heard guests making noise into the early hours, but it wasn’t a big deal. The staff were awesome and always attentive, and the location was perfect for nightlife and socialising.
