We booked two rooms next to each other for one night because they were close to Ashford Eurostar terminal. The shower in one room barely trickled, so we couldn’t use it. In the other, the toilet leaked and wouldn’t flush, something we only found out after using it. There was also a stain on the sheet, a broken showerhead fitting and a burnt-out wall light. I tried contacting the hotel a couple of times to ask for a discount, but got no response. It cost us £200, and that’s simply unacceptable.

The room itself was great. The drunken, inconsiderate people outside my window were there until [unclear], and that was completely unacceptable. I definitely won’t be back and can’t recommend it. Stay well clear of this dive, or you’re going to regret it, I promise you that.

There was a bad stench the whole time we stayed, and the room was dirty. The kettle and lamp didn’t work either. Service was slow but okay, and breakfast wasn’t good.

The place really needs renovating, and it’s very expensive for what you get. I paid for breakfast, but there wasn’t any. I was also told checkout was at 10, even though Expedia said 12.

Stayed for two nights, and the room wasn’t made up after the first. It was tired and dated, and there wasn’t a mirror in the bathroom. How’s a man supposed to shave?
