The Five Bells Inn

This was my third stay at the Five Bells in Brabourne, and easily the best so far. Iryna deserves a special mention for friendly, professional service that was exactly what you hope for but don’t always get. The service stayed warm, attentive and natural throughout, and the pub has a relaxed, proper country feel. The food was exceptional: high-quality ingredients, cooked beautifully and full of flavour. It’s rare to find somewhere that delivers so consistently. I’m already looking forward to returning.

The 5 Bells and its team deserve full marks. I arrived a bit early but was warmly welcomed and checked in promptly, which doesn’t always happen at inns. There are thoughtful details in the rooms, including a small carafe of port, a wonderful bath and quality toiletries. Harveys on draft and a solid menu were another plus, and the kitchen clearly cares. I hope to return soon.

We stayed one night and had dinner. The room was beautiful, with an amazing view over the vineyards and fields, and the staff were very welcoming. We enjoyed the bathtub and log fire, very cosy and romantic, though a few parts of the room could use some attention. Dinner was gorgeous, but afterwards we couldn’t find a seat or table for drinks in the bar. Breakfast was tasty too, with great service. Recommended.

We stopped here after a walk and sat out in the garden. When the rain came on, Zack from the pub set up the heaters for us in a covered spot, even though the place was fully booked. We stayed warm, and the food we ordered was really good. A very nice visit.
