The rooms were a good size and clean, though they were cold. I mentioned that in the review I left through the booking platform, and Chris replied that I should stay somewhere else next time I’m in Poole. That was very unprofessional. I won’t be back, and I wouldn’t recommend the hotel. Thanks for that, Chris.

We ended up searching for somewhere to stay until nearly 1am, and Booking.com eventually helped us find another place. I was left outside late at night with my two young children, ages 1 and 4. They were crying and hungry, everything nearby was closed, and we had nowhere else to go. I felt shocked, overwhelmed, and unsafe by the end of it. No family should be treated this way, and I’d tell people to avoid this property. We booked it expecting basic care and respect, but the owner told us to leave and initially refused to offer a refund. While my husband was on the phone with Booking.com trying to sort things out, he went back to check in again. He hoped at least to use the toilet, and perhaps stay while I found somewhere safe for the children and me. The owner kept the door shut for over two hours. He finally appeared after Booking.com confirmed a refund would be processed, sometime after 11pm. He shouted, behaved aggressively, and slammed the door in our faces while our children were in tears. There was no compassion or professionalism in how he treated us. It was the worst hospitality experience we’ve ever had.

We stayed in room nine on Saturday and were blown away by the decor, the welcome and the food. The attention to detail throughout was easy to spot. An outstanding hotel, and one I’ll definitely recommend. Worldwide- Auditor

We spent two nights here, and the staff were always ready to help us at breakfast. Chris, the owner, gave us a perfect welcome, and the BnB is charming and delightful. These buildings are disappearing from England because of taxes and running costs. If you get the chance to stay here, take it. By 2026, most of these BnBs will be gone from Bournemouth.
