Jim and Lorraine made us feel so welcome. The rooms were comfy, breakfast was yummy, and the surroundings are beautiful. It felt like home from home.

We were back home today after four nights at this lovely B&B. The room and bathroom were spacious and very clean, and there was an excellent choice at breakfast. Jim and Lorraine made us feel so welcome. Shops and restaurants are a five minute walk away. I'd definitely recommend Dunroamin to anyone looking for a B&B in Aviemore.

The area is nice and everything's within walking distance. Rooms are clean and serviced daily, with housekeeping done to a high standard by the owners. They provide useful things like earplugs, flannels, a refillable water bottle and shower gels. Slippers are supplied for indoors, since shoes and boots aren't allowed. Breakfast had a nice menu and selection, with a new special each morning, plus cereals, fruit and drinks. It's served from 8 to 9, so there's just an hour for it. I wasn't keen on the landlord's manner. I found him brusque and professional rather than friendly, despite what some other reviews say. One morning I couldn't finish my plate, and the next day he pointed that out and asked whether I wanted the same item again. I felt pressured to say no, even though the food was included in what we'd paid. Maybe he was thinking about costs or profit, but some days you just have a bigger appetite than others. In my view, he'd have made an excellent policeman.

The rooms are really comfortable, and Peggy does an awesome job keeping them that way. Donnie made us feel at ease in his home, with a friendly manner and a great sense of humour. It's a great place to stay, just a few minutes' walk from good places to eat.
