Cowes has some particularly pretty corners, and this is in one of them. The Anchor Inn's rooms were great value, with friendly service and a nice little view of the street below. There's also a handy private side door for getting to the rooms without going through the pub.

Had a fantastic Saturday evening at the anchor. Great DJ and atmosphere, and the drinks are well priced. It gets really busy, so sometimes you queue about 10 minutes for a round. I suppose that's the price of success! Maybe they could put one more person behind the jump at peak times, or open a second bar.

I was travelling solo and only needed one night before moving into my course accommodation. The room had two single beds and a nicely sized bathroom. Friendly staff, decent pub, and I felt safe. I'd stay again.

The food was hearty pub grub, served hot in generous portions and tasted really good. This lovely little pub in Cowes also had a warm, welcoming feel, and the staff were friendly and attentive. The manager, who I think was called Mark, was especially approachable and down to earth, and seemed to care about making people feel at home. I felt relaxed and looked after from start to finish. Definitely recommend if you're after a proper pub with good people and food in Cowes. I'll be back!

We had a really good evening here last week. The food was outstanding, and there was a good range of drinks. Would happily recommend it.
