A brilliant Sunday lunch, with really tasty food and no rush to finish. There were plenty of staff on duty. We were a group of six with three dogs, including two labs, and they made room for us at a table where the dogs could stay out of the way of other diners. It came to a very reasonable £42.00 each, drinks included. We’ll definitely be back.

Mark, Rosie and the team really make this place. The accommodation and food were both spot on, and we had a great stay. We’d enjoyed a three-course meal the night before, then regretted not booking a table in time for Saturday evening. Such a well-kept secret in Axminster. Thanks for a lovely visit!

Those posh cheesy chips were easily the best I’ve had, and the Perrys cider on tap was delicious too. The staff were lovely and smiley. Highly recommend.

I spent a night here recently with three friends and we had a fantastic time. The rooms were lovely, the food was great and the service was wonderful. Couldn’t recommend it more.

A lovely, warm and quiet atmosphere, with smiles all round from the moment we arrived. A friendly chap took our coats, and the gentleman at the bar was very well dressed and polite. The lady serving food was lovely too. We really enjoyed our visit.
