The meals were the real highlight. My partner and I had a starter and a main each, and the portions were really generous. Every bite was delicious. I was given a voucher for the Five Arrows Hotel Restaurant, and it turned into such a treat. The bar lady was lovely and friendly too. Highly, highly recommend!

The breakfast itself was small but okay, though the area was filthy, with food from the previous opening scattered on the floor. I ended up scraping peas, batter and who knows what away from our table with my shoe. The breakfast staff had started their shift with only a limited number of guests, yet nobody swept or vacuumed first. I've seen cleaner McDonald's. The room was fine, but the emails about dining were pointless: the restaurant was closed for half the week, and the associated pub was shut on the Monday I was there. There was no staff member to deal with when I checked in or out, which was a bizarre setup. Calling this four-star is laughable given what was on offer.

The Coach House was a beautiful place for my big birthday, and we were lucky enough to use the garden as well. The food was delicious, and everyone enjoyed the bar, music, seating and general atmosphere. More than 30 family and friends came from near and far, and we all had a brilliant time. Adam helped me plan everything from October 2025 and was excellent on the night too. He and his team kept things calm and professional throughout. The party was on 9 May 2026, and the experience was just as good the following morning when I came back for presents, leftover cake and decorations. A huge thank you to Adam and all the staff. I'd absolutely recommend it.

The rooms were spotless, the beds luxurious, and the big bath and heated bathroom floor made the stay feel well worth the money. Breakfast had a good range, with nicely arranged tables. The poached egg and avocado toast hit the spot, and the full English was just the right size for us. The team were so accommodating, especially Hannah and Katie, who made our stay delightful. I've never had pub food quite like this before. The lamb pie had Arabic seasoning that worked brilliantly, and its pastry had a lovely mix of shortcrust and puff. The pheasant was cooked perfectly too, and we had no trouble finishing it. The Five Arrows has some of the best staff I've had the pleasure of meeting.

Hannah gave us such a warm welcome and showed us to a fresh, tidy and very clean room. We had a lovely stay at the beautiful Five Arrows while travelling to Rye. Dinner was delicious, the service was excellent, and breakfast came out hot and freshly cooked. We'll definitely come back.
