Mallard Cottage Guest House

We needed somewhere to stop after a problem on the road while travelling to the Eurotunnel, and spent a night here with family in August. It's a lovely place, quiet and clean, with comfortable beds. We were in a rush and skipped breakfast, but saw the guy who had ordered it faced with an enormous spread of choices. Dogs seem to be welcome. One belonged to the guy having breakfast, but the layout means pets are kept elsewhere in the building so they don't bother you. We saw the dog when we arrived, and that was it, no barking, smell, or anything else. It's a handy place to rest when travelling to or from France. There's a lake within walking distance, free private parking on site, and a typical pub nearby. No pub noise reached us, as the place is peaceful, and it's nice to know you can have a drink and walk home.

Christina's place is in beautiful surroundings, and I really enjoyed my stay. The room and bathroom were clean, with complimentary tea and toiletries. For a small extra charge, she could provide breakfast and home-cooked dinners, which was a great bonus. Highly recommended :)

The breakfast was enough to keep a regiment marching, and Christina makes you feel warmly welcomed, like you're at home. The place is clean, tidy, and comfortable. If you're staying around Aylesford or Maidstone, this is where you should be. If you don't enjoy your stay, you're beyond help.

Such a friendly place, and everything was clean and tidy. I loved staying in this cosy little cottage and would recommend it to anyone after a comfortable bed.
