We’d been thinking of booking the Premier Inn, but I wanted somewhere where I could open the windows. A quick search for places in Ayr brought up Jan's place, and what a find it was. Jan is a wonderful host and really goes out of her way for you. The place is immaculate, the bed was so comfortable, and the linens were lovely and soft. I also liked the great smelling body care products, and the big fluffy towels. There was a kettle, real milk in the fridge, and homemade shortbread, which was such a nice touch. The breakfast was among the best we’ve had, with plenty to choose from. My husband loved the vegetarian fry up, and my scrambled eggs were delicious. Jan has thought of everything, even a fan in the room, and we got a permit for street parking. It was a wonderful stay, and we’ve already planned to return. We can’t recommend the Beaches enough.

Jan was such a great hostess, and our room was just right. We only stayed one night, but I’m already looking forward to coming back. This place is a little gem, can’t recommend it enough. 10/10.

We stayed overnight for the Ayr races and got a message saying we could check in early, which was really handy. The staff were lovely and friendly. I’ll definitely use this guest house again.

We ended up booking here the night before after a last minute change of plans, and absolutely loved it. The guest house is in a lovely part of Ayr with a pretty garden. Jan left fresh milk and homemade shortbread in the room, and had games, books, and DVDs available to borrow. She also gave us some good dinner recommendations. Highly recommend!

The room opened straight onto the garden, which leads to the beach, and it was spotless and huge. Our family room had very comfortable, oversized beds. Jan also made a brilliant breakfast, served hot and in generous portions, with gluten-free and vegan options. A great stay!
