Premier Inn Newcastle - Holystone

The room was what you’d expect from a Premier Inn, and breakfast was good. Reception were welcoming and really helpful. A great hotel for the price.

We got no sleep at all because of one extremely disruptive guest. There was constant door slamming, stamping around and screaming at each other. They were eventually evicted at 3am, after being given far too many chances to behave. I can understand a warning or two, but being told seven times that they’d be put out if staff had to come back up again is shocking. Appalling behaviour.

Ideal for match days, with excellent, helpful staff. The room and bed were clean and comfortable, and the bathroom had a decent shower. It’s handy for the A19, and the metro is about a 15-minute walk away. There’s a Wetherspoons next door and a few fast food places on Silverlink. For petrol, there’s a Jet garage by the roundabout or an Asda station further along the road.

The staff were exceptionally friendly, and it’s easy to get to with other places accessible from here. Cheap and cheerful. The rooms can get a bit warm in hot weather since there’s no air con, though they do provide sheets and iced water.
