The food was just perfect, and the location couldn’t have been better. Every staff member we met was superb, and the service was attentive without ever being intrusive. At breakfast, the service was stunning and probably the best we’ve experienced. The next day brought more of the same, and the staff remembered us from the day before. From the minute we walked in, we felt welcome. Our room was lovely and relaxing, and the evening meal began in beautiful surroundings while we waited to be shown to a wonderful dinner. It was a truly special weekend. We loved it, and thank you!

We’ve stayed at Rafters three times now and absolutely love it. It’s peaceful, quiet and in a great spot, with friendly staff who always greet you with a smile. Breakfast is amazing, the evening meals are fantastic, and the bread before the meal is my favourite. It’s a great base for visiting the surrounding towns. We’ll book again for next spring and summer. Thanks, guys, from Steve & Adela.

The three-course breakfast was beautiful, from the bread through to the fresh eggs. We didn’t try dinner since it was late Sunday afternoon, but based on that breakfast I can only imagine the food is amazing. The hotel sits in a stunning location, and our room was clean and comfortable. The staff couldn’t have been friendlier and made us feel so welcome. Well done, guys.

A great base in a handy spot for exploring the Peak District. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the food was excellent. It was the best hotel breakfast we’ve had in years.

The food was absolutely outstanding. It was my first time splashing out on Michelin-star-level food, and I wasn’t disappointed at all. Highly recommended!
