We visited in December and again in January. The food was fresh, homemade and brilliant, and the service was just as good. It’s cosy and dog-friendly too. Thanks for a lovely meal, we’ll be back.

Kelly was lovely and helpful, and everyone in our group was happy with their food. I had the gorgeous fish and chips. The pub was cosy on a miserable day and even opened early to serve lunch to our group of 15. Thank you!

We had a great New Year's Eve family get-together in the ‘Snug’. Kelly and the staff gave us excellent service, and Kelly was attentive the whole time. Thank you for a lovely evening.

After car trouble made us arrive very late on 18/09/25, they were really hospitable. The comfortable rooms and bathrooms looked as if they'd been refurbished recently. Everything was clean, with plenty of tea, coffee, bottled water and biscuits. The small TV was fine. Breakfast wasn't available during our visit. The pub seems to be a bit of a 'work in progress', but it's a great place to stop over if you're walking in the PD. The landlady was great and very helpful. I'd stay again.

The food was excellent, and the friendly staff and locals made us feel welcome. It’s a lovely pub with four bedrooms, well worth making a detour for.
