The food was so good that we spent much of our mealtimes talking about it. My vegetarian dinner and breakfast were both tasty, thoughtfully prepared, and beautifully presented, and my partner was just as pleased with his choices. We came for a January weekend of walking in the surrounding area and were delighted with our stay at The Pilsley Inn. The room was warm, spotless, nicely decorated, and well equipped, and the staff made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived.

Claire made the evening feel special and went out of her way to look after us. She really is the star of the place. We had a gorgeous meal at The Pilsley Inn last night, and both of us loved the beef rump. Thanks for such a lovely night. We’ll definitely be back!

The Sunday roasts were generous and full of flavour. We had both roast beef and lamb, and even took a doggy bag home to finish for tea, though I’m not sure the second server was keen on that. We enjoyed it later! The pub is lovely and well located, and the lady who first served us was really sweet with us and our little girl. Her kids’ roast was super too.

I was enchanted by Pilsley Inn from the moment I arrived. The rooms are cosy, with a lovely rural feel, and everyone on staff was so friendly and kind. I came to celebrate my birthday and hike around the Peak District. The inn is right in the heart of the countryside, around 30-40 minutes’ walk from Chatsworth. I absolutely loved it and will come back. Highly, highly recommend it, and don’t forget to try dinner!

The poached rhubarb was the highlight for me, and I had a few pints of landlord too. We visited with our dog and got a lovely table by the wood burner. The food was very good, and the pub had a nice atmosphere where you could still have a conversation. Highly recommend.
