My brother had his wedding reception here, and everyone enjoyed celebrating at the venue. The staff were incredibly friendly, helpful and professional, and the food was excellent. I also stayed in one of the rooms and loved it: comfortable bed, excellent shower and elegant decor throughout. Breakfast had a good selection and was delicious. I tried the restaurant the night before the wedding too, and it was perfect again. Give it a try, you won’t regret it.

Saturday morning here was a lovely way to relax. I sat listening to jazz and had the £7.50 breakfast deal, which is great value. The English breakfast was fantastic, made with good ingredients, and the coffee was excellent. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was just right. Highly recommended. I’ll be back!

We felt very safe, and the team treated us like royalty last Saturday, 5/12/20. They couldn’t do enough for us. The food was a very high standard too, so well done to the chef. Top marks for the service and meal.

We only went for Sunday lunch, not an overnight stay. The staff were pleasant and friendly, and the Yorkshires were outstanding. The rest was disappointing for £16: the roast potatoes were brown only on top, undercooked and not crispy, while the gravy had very little flavour. The lunch was nice, but nothing special. We won’t be going back.

We waited a long time for the food, got the wrong drinks and two incorrect meals, and by the time my correct meal arrived my family had finished eating. The ladies’ toilet was broken too. There were only three families there, so I expected better service. None of us will be returning.
