Galgorm

For our first wedding anniversary we went to the galgorm, and it was an amazing experience. We stayed in a deluxe room overlooking the thermal village and river, with a private check-in area. The ice bucket was a lovely touch, as were the room's water tap and our own bottles. The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the only real downside was the price of drinks at the bar. We ate at Castle Kitchen on the first night, about a four minute drive from the resort. They drop you off and bring you back when you're ready. The food was beautiful and the service was too class. On the second night we had dinner at Gillies, where everything was fabulous. I couldn't decide on a starter, so I tried the beef check, and it was wow. Breakfast both mornings was great. It's self-service, but they bring your juices, tea and coffee to the table. I had a flat white each morning and it was delicious. There was a fantastic range of Continental and hot food, plus pancakes and waffles. I'd come back just for breakfast. The thermal village was nice, though a bit busy, and the hot tubs didn't seem to empty. We had our own bathing experience booked, so it didn't really matter. The saunas and steam rooms were clean and well maintained. We'll definitely be back.

I'm lost for words, with my very high standards. Almost every part of the experience was exceptional. It isn't cheap, but the value is incredible. If you enjoy any kind of spa activity, find an off-peak offer and go. You won't be disappointed.

I'm home after my second visit to the Galgorm and already looking forward to returning. The thermal village is outstanding, with plenty of saunas and thermal pools, and I'd recommend booking a treatment. I had a facial and my skin feels amazing. We stayed in a cosy cottage with plenty of facilities and a super comfy bed. The staff were very nice and welcoming. Food and drink are the one downside, very expensive for what you get. Otherwise, it was such a relaxing and peaceful stay. Thanks for a lovely visit!

The thermal village was the highlight of the weekend, especially the outdoor area. They've built all those facilities beside the river while keeping things as natural as possible. We can't wait to go back after an amazing weekend. Everything exceeded my expectations, from the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in to the wonderful food at all the restaurants we tried. Staff were friendly and attentive wherever we went, and housekeeping was excellent and super fast.
