There’s a quiet scenic trail along the river just below the lodges, and the town centre is close enough for a bite to eat or a drink. We stayed in Lodge 2 and it was a lovely spot for a night away. It had the basics, with a cosy, spacious feel. Even though there are others nearby, the room and hot tub felt very private, and once inside we couldn’t hear outside noise. I hope to come back soon, thanks for having us!

We booked this at the last minute for a birthday getaway and found it really peaceful. The hot tub had no time limits, so we got plenty of use out of it. It’s about a ten minute walk into town, which made finding food and a few drinks easy. Thanks for a lovely stay.

The lodge was a great fit for five of us: spacious, clean, pretty and well stocked. The big hot tub was clean and warm when we arrived, with a cover to keep rain off and leaves out. We had a perfect stay and would definitely return. The only snag was the shower. It was boiling, and we couldn’t work out how to adjust the temperature. Getting help was only possible between 10am and 4pm, which was a bit awkward.

This has happened before, and I was refused a refund the first time, about a year ago. I’m here weekly and followed the instructions, but the hot drink machine got my order wrong again. I had to pay twice, and it dispensed only hot milk, with no hot chocolate. There was barely any milk or sugar available either, which should be anticipated better over the Easter holidays. Don’t bother with the machine. I saw the comment and will amend this, thanks!

A quiet spot that was easy to find. The room was just right and very clean, and the hot tub was clean too. We had a perfect weekend away and will be back.
