That seafood dinner was the best we've ever had, and the food was exceptional throughout. The staff were excellent and attentive to every detail. We had only booked a night, but wished we'd made it a week. The room was wonderfully clean and comfortable, with fabulous views from the corner suite, and breakfast was delicious. It's another year before we're back in England, but we'll definitely visit again. An absolute joy.

Breakfast was the star of our overnight visit, though dinner was fantastic too. The wine might have been a little pricey. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet, and there was nothing to fault there. The hotel is perfectly placed and has a good-sized car park. We'd stay again when we're back.

Fresh, well-chosen local fish and seafood are the focus here, and the wine list is extensive. The Seahouses crab and pepper soup was a highlight, and the desserts were great. Having dessert wines to choose from also suggests they take the restaurant seriously. The staff were friendly and attentive. All in all, a great experience.

The WiFi was useless in our room and no better in the public areas, though luckily I was taking a break from the digital world. That was my only complaint. Mizen Head is a great place for a luxury night or two away. The seafood restaurant is the stronger draw for me than the hotel, since good boutique hotels are more common than good seafood restaurants. The fish was excellent, with great suppliers and very little fuss. The wine list was sensible and well put together, and the gin and whisky selection was commendable.

We've stayed here before and love it. The location, bar and restaurant are all fantastic, and the staff work so hard to make your stay enjoyable. The seafood at the restaurant is a particular highlight. Bamburgh is lovely already, but staying here makes it feel even more special. Highly recommended.
