Ennislare Guest House

Big room, large windows and sea views, and it was very quiet. The bed was comfortable, everything was clean, and the team were lovely. Great place to stay, highly recommend it.

The hosts were the best part of my four nights at Ennislare. Ann was so kind and helpful, remembered my name, asked how my holiday was going, and was lovely to chat with. I’d happily book Ennislare House again if I return to Bangor. Thanks to Ann and family for a lovely stay. My top-floor room, number 11, had a single bed, wardrobe and TV, with enough space to settle in. It was clean, quiet and comfortable, with an ensuite bathroom and electric shower. There was a kettle, tea bags and coffee ready so I could make a drink when I arrived. Guests could help themselves to breakfast things in the shared kitchen, including cereal and milk. There was also a fridge, microwave, hob and oven. I liked being able to eat when I wanted instead of waiting for set breakfast hours. Outside, tables and chairs in front of the house made a nice place to sit in the sun. And yes, it was sunny in NI that week! It’s about a five-minute walk to Bangor Marina and the pier. I loved heading out in the evenings to watch the sunset there. Highly recommended.

We’ve been travelling for over a week, and this was where we got our best nights of rest. Our room was cosy and spacious, with a bay window looking out over the water. It was easy to get to Bangor city centre and onto the road to Belfast, too. The people running the house were kind, and it was fun chatting with Barney about his son in NYC and his travels. Such a lovely stay, we can’t wait to come back.

I’ve been coming here since my kids were little. These days I visit with my brother-in-law, hubby and two of our almost grown kids. It’s always been a welcoming stay.
