We booked two rooms at this reasonably priced lodge on the main road. The rooms were spacious and clean, and there was ample free parking, though spaces are first come, first served. Ventilation was adequate in one room, but the other room's bathroom had no exhaust or ventilation system. The stay felt safe and comfortable and was good value. For a family of four or five, small bottles of shower gel would be better than just two or three small sachets.

The family running the place were lovely, and the location is great, but we weren't happy with our stay for the price. It felt cramped, with furniture and family belongings everywhere. As well as being cluttered and old-fashioned, it wasn't clean, with mould in the grout. It needs organising, decluttering and a deep clean, along with a refurbishment. I wouldn't choose to stay here again.

For £100 a night, this hotel felt like a scam. There was nobody at the desk when we needed someone, and the place was messy, cluttered and full of trash. No one cleaned the room, and the towels looked disgusting and smelled bad. The beds were small with cheap mattresses, and the tiny TV didn't work. They didn't provide shampoo or toothpaste. The walls were thin and noisy, and food smells came into the room in the morning. The window view was ugly too. The whole place looked untouched for decades, even the bedside lamp looked like something from Poundland.

The people running this place were lovely. We only stayed overnight, and the rooms were basic but perfectly good enough for a night's sleep.

Such good value for money. The best part was the lady running the B&B. I'm not sure if she owns it, but she was so lovely and accommodating. Thank you!
