Pant Teg

A quiet spot with a lovely large room and a big bed. The bathroom had everything, and there were tea-making facilities in the room. We could order breakfast the night before, so it was freshly cooked and very good.

Bryan made us feel very welcome and knew the area well. Breakfast was great too. Pant Teg is well placed, with a short drive to the Snowdon hiking paths and Anglesey. We hadn’t stayed at a B&B for a while, but had such a good time that we’ll be booking more in future.

We came back for a second stay, this time in a different room, and it was amazing again. Bryan is a brilliant host with a great sense of humour. He pays attention to guests’ needs and personalities and will do what he can to make the visit a good one. This room wasn’t ensuite, but the private bathroom was excellent, with a two-person jet bath and the same huge shower as in our previous room. On our first visit, booking was easy, as was arranging breakfast. The decor suited the age of the building, and the breakfast was plentiful and tasty. They catered for fussy eaters, including gluten-free, and there was a good shower with multiple high-pressure jets. It was warm and powerful, though the cold water at first gave me a chance to practise my ninja moves by blocking the jets. The bed was very comfortable, made from two singles fixed together, something to bear in mind for any bed gymnastics. I really enjoyed both stays and will definitely come again.

Bryan was friendly and made a lovely full English breakfast for both me and my vegetarian partner. There was a nice variety in the dining area, from cereals, jams, marmalades and fresh fruit to tea, coffee, juice and toast. The lounge had plenty of books and games, plus comfy chairs if you wanted a quiet evening in. We stayed two nights in November 2021. The room was warm, the bed comfortable, and there were some pretty, useful touches. It also had a high-tech massage shower, though we didn’t try that setting, as we weren’t there long enough. It could use a little TLC, but nothing major. We’d recommend it for the comfort, friendly welcome and price.
