The food was a real highlight for us. Every meal seemed made with care, and it was some of the best we tried in the area. The hosts were happy to go out of their way, too. Nomi Rooms by the Pier has a lovely feel, with characterful, comfortable rooms and a spot right beside the pier. From arrival, the welcome was warm and sincere, and we felt at home straight away. A special place to stay in North Wales. We’ll be back.

Room 14, on the ground floor, was roomy and beautifully refurbished. I was travelling alone for work and felt safe throughout my stay. The staff were very helpful and around whenever I needed them. It’s a great base for the pier, with a couple of pubs and an Italian restaurant an easy walk away. Depending on which room you get, you may also have a stunning view across the water. Lovely place for an overnight stop.

The Indian restaurant was the standout for us. The dishes had loads of authentic flavour, with well-balanced spices, generous portions and excellent service. It felt like a taste of home, and was one of the best Indian meals I’ve had in the UK. I came with family and friends, and we all had a fantastic time. The hotel is a short stroll from the pier, and our room was clean, comfortable and thoughtfully laid out, just what we wanted after exploring the Welsh coast. A relaxing stay in a handy location, and we’d happily return.

The restaurant was the thing that first drew us to Nomi, and it really delivered. The menu isn’t huge, but each dish felt carefully prepared with real care and passion. Some of the best Indian food we’ve had. It seems popular locally, so if you’re staying and hope to eat there, I’d book ahead or ask at reception when you arrive. Our sea view room had an amazing panorama of the coast and Garth pier, especially at sunset. It was clean, fresh and tastefully modern while still fitting the building’s period features. The staff were warm and attentive from arrival, and showed us to the room after check-in. The hotel sits right on the seafront in a calm, relaxing spot. Two traditional local pubs, both serving food and a good range of drinks, are less than 100 yards away. Bangor town centre is about a 20-minute walk. We just wandered along the pier, had a few drinks nearby and came back for dinner. It was our first stay at Nomi during a trip to North Wales, and we couldn’t have asked for more. The food, setting and atmosphere came together so well, and for the price it ticked every box. We’d choose it again in Bangor and recommend it to family and friends. 10/10.

We had a lovely evening at Naomi Indian restaurant. It’s modern and clean, and the staff were so friendly and polite that nothing felt like too much trouble. They didn’t have the drink I’d wanted, but there was plenty else to choose from. The menu isn’t enormous, though there’s a good range of authentic dishes. We all loved the food, and my brother-in-law and I agreed it was among the best Indian meals we’d tasted, with our fair bit of experience in our 50s. It was a shame the place wasn’t busier on a Friday night, but eating out seems quieter across the country these days. The staff noticed it was a birthday and brought a lovely sweet, keeping the gesture discreet. Thanks to them for a great night. We hope the restaurant does well, and we’ll book again if we’re back this way. Thanks, Phil, Paul and Cameron.
