The Bankfoot Inn

A cozy little pub with nice decor and lovely staff. We dropped in for lunch, and the scampi was really good with a generous portion. My husband ordered his usual steak pie and said it was the best he'd ever had, especially the meat, gravy and pastry. His only gripe was that he wanted more 😋 Compliments to the chef. We'll definitely stop in again if we're up that way.

We thought the inn was great value and well worth visiting, and it was dog friendly too, with just £10 extra for our pet. Breakfast, cooked by the owner's mum, was one of the best I've had in ages. There was a wide range of dinner dishes, all made by the resident chef. When we arrived, the pub manager gave us a warm welcome and showed us to a bright, cozy room with its own bathroom and a view over the front of the building. We booked recently and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The food was top notch, so we're coming back tomorrow night. We turned up at short notice for dinner with our dog and got a warm, friendly welcome. The interior is great, with smashing bar areas. We had cauliflower soup, Chicken Balmoral and rib eye steak, followed by chocolate fudge cake.

We loved our room. It was clean, nicely decorated, and the bed and pillows were really comfy. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, and made a real fuss of our dog. Dinner in the restaurant was really good, with great service and very reasonable prices. The Full Scottish breakfast was delicious too. We had a last minute getaway here and absolutely loved it. Can't recommend The Bankfoot Inn enough, and we're already looking forward to visiting again next time we're in the area.
