The Crown was only minutes away, with outdoor seating and takeaways available after it reopened following the Covid lockdown. We had a dedicated parking space on the owners' drive, and Walnut Tree Lodge is a lovely self-catering place for two. I spent a long weekend there and would recommend it for a peaceful retreat.

The dogs are barking loudly all the time, and cars keep blocking my driveway. There’s no on-site parking, no road access to Church Close, and no planning permission was posted in the village when the work was done. Unfortunately, I can’t give it zero stars.

A short walk gets you to a great pub, and the place itself is quiet. The decor is lovely and it has everything you need.

It’s clean and comfortable, with thoughtful touches that make it feel homely. The host was lovely, and it worked really well as a base for exploring the area.

Really cosy, and fitted out with everything needed. It’s a great place to stay.
