Lawrenny Lodge

I was struck by how much Kevin and Marie knew about the local area. They even put together a walking route for me, and it may have been the best day of my week’s holiday. They’re considerate, calm and very helpful, and cook a fantastic breakfast. The rooms are kept spotless, too. Such a breathtakingly beautiful part of the world. Thank you both so much!

Kevin and Marie’s warmth and knowledge of the area made us feel genuinely welcome and gave us plenty of places to explore. Lawrenny lodge is a lovely base for seeing the many nearby attractions, with a lovely outlook towards the estuary mouth and the sea beyond. The hosts are friendly and very hospitable, and the ensuite rooms are comfortable and well appointed. Our room was decorated to a high standard, and both bedroom and bathroom were impeccably clean. Breakfast was a generous selection, including a full English or salmon and scrambled eggs, as well as fruit salad, yoghurt, juice, toast, tea and coffee. We were well fortified for the day, and the ingredients and cooking were faultless. It was very good value and a real pleasure to recommend Lawrenny Lodge, Kevin and Marie. We’ll definitely return.

The sea view from our room was so picturesque that it was hard to leave the window. Marie and kevin were lovely hosts, with a good range of breakfast options and rooms that were clearly well looked after. Marie went the extra mile with blueberry muffins, blankets and reading materials about our sightseeing, which we really appreciated. A beautiful stay, and we can’t wait to return.

The view across the estuary from our window was lovely, and the foot and railway bridge is a memorable walk, about five minutes away. Our room was immaculate, including the bathroom, which was fresh and spotless, though it was down three steps. Breakfast was a real treat: we chose from the menu the night before and agreed on a time. The owners try to give each room its own mealtime, which suited me well. The owners set a high standard. We'd happily return.
