We were supposed to stay this weekend, but our son-in-law died suddenly in awful circumstances, so we had to cancel and support our daughter and 9-year-old grandson. I messaged the host to explain, and he sent me to the booking site. There, I could request a cancellation without a fee from the host. He refused, despite the circumstances, and then suggested we had “fabricated” the story just to get our money back. That's not the kind of attitude I'd expect from someone in hospitality. As someone who visits Barmouth often, I'd say there are much better places to stay, with kinder hosts. Think carefully before booking here.

The views are amazing, and it was very clean and modern, with everything we needed. The WiFi was good, and shops and other amenities are only a short walk away.

We stayed in room 6, which had by far the best view. This lovely, welcoming guest house has everything we needed for a few days, and its seaside setting and wonderful views are hard to beat. The building's history makes it feel even more special. The hosts were lovely and always available if anything came up, though we didn't have any problems. I can't recommend it enough, and we'll definitely book again next year. Thanks for a lovely stay.

A brilliant place to stay with a dog. The dog-friendly part of the beach is across the road, and town is only a minute's walk away.

Our two-night stay was really lovely. The guest house is right on the seafront, with nice views of the national park nearby, and it's easy to walk to local shops and places to eat. The room had everything I needed, including a hair dryer, kettle, shower gel and towels. The staff were very welcoming and helpful without ever being intrusive. My only small gripe is that there weren't enough pillows for me, but it wasn't a big problem.
