Breakfast was a real highlight. It was a delicious English breakfast served in the lovely period dining room, though the plastic chairs felt out of place in such a beautiful historic space. We paid an extra £10 for parking for the whole stay and didn't need to use the car once. House of Angus is a charming period hotel about a five-minute walk from central Canterbury. Check-in was friendly and informative, and someone showed us how to set the heating. Our room was clean and lovely, with a comfortable bed.

We started our England trip at the house of Agnes, and the service was accommodating from the moment we arrived. The building is comfortable and full of charm, and our room was very nice, with a good bed, a fan, and a decent little shower, which matters a lot to me on holiday. Breakfast the next morning was great, and checking out was easy with pleasant service again.

The garden was spacious, with shaded spots and little seating areas, plus a terrace with tables. There's plenty of parking, including a good place for a motorcycle. We stayed one night in the cozy Venice room, which suited two people. At breakfast, vegan choices included toast, coffee, plant milks, yogurt, tomato and baked beans. We asked for vegan sausage and got one, a bit less than I expected. The bar stays open 24/7 and runs on an honesty system, so drinks cost less since there isn't service.

We had the Marrakesh Suite, a cozy pair of rooms with two bathrooms, and couldn't have asked for a better stay. Its spot is ideal, a minute from Westgate and two minutes from Canterbury West station, close to bars, restaurants and the cathedral. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the well-stocked honesty bar had fair prices. Recommended.

We had a brilliant two-night stay. The room was spacious and clean, breakfast was amazing, and the staff were really friendly. Such a lovely place right in the heart of Canterbury.
